Factual irrefutable science has always being:

Lots of confabulation based on precision guess work mathematically derived from imaginary numbers in lack of facts, derived from assumptions made on known theories and accepted as absolute reality, that covers less than nothing out of the entirety.

Theories now deemed obsolete by the same science once evolved, and now known as ¨full of flaws on the base of new acquired knowledge¨ and the newly theories derived from.

Which ¨new theories¨, based on past experience, cover themselves less than nothing compared with what it is out there to be known, and thus expected to be full of flaws and absolutely untrustable as soon as more knowledge is acquired, but sold again as the absolute truth that covers them all aspects possible and impossible, thus infallible, just like the old ones in the past.

Big Bang never existed, according to the new theories, that invalidate the conclusions of the old one now incorporated as a tinny part of the new ones.

I ask myself what ¨future new knowledge¨ will invalidate out of the nowadays ¨absolute truth¨ sold as irrefutable by the so called science that behave and always have behaved more like a religion than like what it would of being expected from science.

My two cents on materials to use in 3D printing.

Ok, me; engineer, prototyper, coming from robotics, hands on mechatronic for industrial automation, I made myself two or three 3D printers out of crappy kits heavilly modified to make them perform as I needed, so they no longer are as bought, including motherboards, nozzles, heatsinks, stepper motors, etc, just the frames are less modified, but not virgin.

I design, print, test, and obviously re-design, for the iterarion of a product from idea to good to sell sometimes takes me to hundreds of re printings and design adjustments.

Why am I saying this?

Glass transiton, that is why.

Some of my products are made to improve 3d printers so that a crappy 200-500USD kit printer can do things normally you got to buy a 30.000 USD printer for, by just printing a few STL files of mine and mounting the prints to the printer, plus some things you buy online, and you go from PLA to... Polycarbonate, Nylon, PPS, printing capacities, and with some more twickening you go to over 400C printing PEEk and ULTEM. On your cheap kit toy, doing things for the big boys only. But without investing like the big boys.

Some other objects I create are designed to stay in a vehicle, be it on the wheels hub, or in the cabin on the dashboard, etc

As you can imagine my creations meet high operational temperatures be it from the heated print bed working just next to them at 120C, or the heatblock at 450C at 3 mm away from my object while printing for 32 hours non stop, or sitting on the dashboard of a car in the summer sun with a 75 C built in cabin heat.

Conclusion; PLA nope (becomes mushy at 50C), PETG nope, ABS neiter, HIPS no no, ASA neither (they all give in around 90C).

I tried them all during the years, they all get mushy and loose their shape, and since they are not decorative parts buut actually functional things, once their shape is a bit compromised, they do not work anymore, they become trash and end up in a bin.

So I modified my machines to go Polycarbonate, with or without Carbon fiber in the filament (Cf filament prints nicer, but becoming more stiff the part also becomes more brittle, is a trade off) or Nylon and similar, for the cheap products, (not as cheap as PLA thou... lol) but if I need to go really reliable mechanical than PPS with or without CF is a good option, and ULTEM (PEI) which is more expensive than PPS but also better heat glass transistion resistance.

PPS has amazingly the same glass transition as ABS (HIPS, ASA) but if anealed it jumps to nearly 200C resistance before deforming.

You will never get that from ASA, HIPS, ABS, PLA or PETG, not even from Polycarbonate, but hey, 150C before becoming mushy is still a good point in many applications, Nylon is a bit lower in that respect, around 140C gives in, but is more plastic deformable tolerant, practically is a pereneal hinge, you bend it back and forth a milion times before you shear it.

There you go, my two cents on materials to use in cheap 3D printers rightly tunned.

No, they do not expect us to all drive EVs.

They know these EVs will never fly. The issue is mobility. They are throwing people a carrot to get them out of the ICE cars then the EVs are next.

You will not be able to afford to charge them. Your taxes will go up because they chew the crap out of the roads, you will have to replace tires all the times again because these monsters are so heavy they chew up the roads and your tires (and the tires will be unaffordable expensive).

Then car insurance will soar because if you damage the battery in one of these babies they must be totalled and that will cost another unaffordable amount to replace and if you hit some one with these cars the damage will be catastrophic because again they are extremely heavy.

The war is NOT against fossil fuels. The war is against mobility. They want you out of your car, unable to travel outside your 15 Minute City so they can monitor and control everything you do and say.

The next global crisis may not come from the US, but from Japan.

In short, here's what it's all about.
The new Japanese government has announced a huge economic stimulus package (the equivalent of over 200 billion dollars).

Japan has its back against the wall, it has to adopt this stimulus package because otherwise it would collapse economically.

But this will inevitably/mathematically trigger some tectonic movements in international markets due to the yen, the price of Japanese government bonds and the global debt that Japan holds.

The stimulus package has the potential to collapse the yen and trigger inflationary pressures.

The key move is expected on December 18, when the Bank of Japan will have to decide whether or not to increase the reference interest rate.

Whatever it decides, the implications are global because over the past 30 years, hardworking Japanese people have accumulated a lot of money that they have placed back, in various forms, on world markets, in other words, they have provided liquidity to the world economy.

But now Japan has an aging population, which is demanding back the money (pensions) to which it is entitled.

The mechanisms are extremely complex, but regardless of what the Bank of Japan decides (to defend or not to defend the yen) the logical move of investors will be to "drain" the international markets of all the liquidity provided through the Japanese yen over the past 30 years.

And the only alternative for the Japanese government would be to finance the stimulus package by selling bonds of other countries that it owns, which would put the respective governments in a bind, as it would exponentially increase their financing costs.

But which governments are we talking about? Well, first and foremost, the American government! And let's see if the planet can afford a drifting America!...

So, the perfect storm could come from Japan right at the turn of 2025/2026.

I need to make a little bit of history here;

Some 10-12 years ago when I went into 3D printing I bumped in some immense limitations both in materials and in processing capacity of technology at hobby level prices on the market.

I knew materials will improve in a few years and it happen, from using fishing line 1.75 or 3 mm we got to have 3D printing filaments invented for just that like PLA, plus access to ABS and Nylons etc. Now the materials palette on the markets is immense in comparison.

Machines wise I was trying to sort out the need for printing supports issue since I could not eliminate them, so I went 2 ways simultaneously, one was dual printing head so I can use as supports a different material that would not stick well to the printed part hence easy to remove, but that idea went nowhere because others with real capitals in their bank jumped on it and flooded the markets cheaply, so I just used their products instead (not happy about their engineering quality, but it was cheap)

The other thing I was working on was tool changer machine, that was the obvious solution anyway, enabling in theory an infinite numbers of tools if you could place them on the rack.

E3D Ltd in Uk beat me to that since they had the cash and machines, but they went American style, they made a very good mechanical concept, a barebone firmware and barebone slicer adaptations, hoping the community would hop in to build things up... but they sold that for 5000 USD a piece in kit with 200 hours of putting it together.

They flopped commercially because of that.

After them nobody tried to bring one to the market until last year Prusa and now Ultimaker, but Prusa flopped because they went E3D LTD way, 5000 USD a piece roughly and firmware and slicer plagued with holes the size of my fist, so they flopped too, Ultimaker came under 800USD, probably will end up after launch next year around 1000, and that will go the Bambulab way selling millions of units and getting copied by just about anybody, Creality and Bambulab leading the charge in my opinion.

I still use my toolchanger system for myself thou I do have in property also an E3D Ltd tool changer too, solid machine.

My tool changer was to be made on the very cheap compared, but still very solid and repeatable, using dove tail locking system.

And this is part one of my work of 3D printing machines improving, part two is that same machine must be ready to do non planar printing to eliminate the need for supports especially for the places that would end up so enclosed that removing supports would be a big pain in the arse, and to dramaticalluy improve layer adhesion by overlapping layers also in the Z axis.

So I am onto my Rumba project of a multiaxis 3D printer, with a Tango printing head toolchanger, in parallel I work on the Ballerina line of multiaxis and the Bollero line of multiaxis, all of them have different base of creating multiaxis and while their potential overlaps on some 60% of the time, for the 40% remaining they are capable of things each individually that the others are not capable of, hence excellent at a certain type of activity while sucks at another type of activity.

All of them will incorporate willingly the Tango printing head.

Without much success I must say, since I have no budget for big marketing campaigns.

The idea was others will use them and start creating software for them be it to move them or to slice for them.

Meanwhile I partnered with a very good software engineer specialized in moving industrial multi-axis machines that invents and creates not only software but also PCB and the like, he is helping me out with moving my machines, at least minimally.

We also undertake other projects together for money, we need to somehow pay the bills.

I am now working on 5 to 9 axis machines ANYBODY can make at home by cannibalizing some old Chinese 3D printer you have or can buy second hand for cheap plus the parts you prinnt from my STL files and some more bearings, stepper motors and belts to make your own multiaxiss non planar printing machine like mine, but I lack software and slicing capacity for them.

As 12 years ago I knew there will be a huge market for dual heat-sinkheads and for toolchangers; I know for 10 years that when the multi-axis tech will hit the market will make billions in sales in one year alone.

But to make that happen I need capitals to put together a team to refine the designs, and redesign everything also for plastic injection molding too, for that is the cheapest way to bring them to the public, than put together the machines needed to do exactly that in a country outside the conflict zones (No China, Pakistan, India, Russia, US or UK or EU, Ukraine, Israel or Egypt, etc.) and make a few thousands to send around for testing, arousing appetite among tinkerers internatioanlly, making software coders consider the option of patching slicers and firmware for them.

That would kick the ball rolling and make us a tad richer in the coming years.

Organic engineering, the eternal conundrum with no solution in sight

intuitive to use, no need for school,

robust and repairable

look at cars; everything is engineering, otherwise it would cost as much as a Lamborghini, and honestly, who can afford something like that? one in a thousand? maybe even less.

Look at houses, furniture, architecture in general, nothing organic.

Because a tree is organic, but you can't really live in it as it is in its natural state, nor can you use it as furniture as is.

A horse is organic, but you can't really use it for family trips, or for carrying goods, you need a cart, inorganic but practical.

I have being into designing and building customized 3D printers from 2011 onwards, dreaming of a multy-tool changer for a decade, and there was like a wall that nobody would be able to jump over, all hit their head against it and nothing could smash a hole in it to let us cross forward, untill;

E3D ToolChanger and Motion System came alive

They actually broke the ice for good, not some timid attempt by some daring DIY nut like me, nope, industrial produced in series for the masses, but... with a Ferary price tag, some 5000 USD, plus some long waiting list, factor into it some month or two of assembly, programing, fine tunning, errors hunting and debugging... nerve wrecking but they were the "Ford Model T" of the tool Changers, now discontinued.

And than nothing, nobody dared to follow them up, take them on their own challenge, enlarge the niche in the wall.

So back to the miriade of peniless enthusiasts that invented their own tool changers on their own, like DAKSH , not necesarelly with E3D system (fixed alignemnt electromecanically locked or unlocked via an actuator) but with magnetic retention for the tool and side sliding to release it from the magnets, or with self aligning mechanical approach where the parked tool kind of floats on a horizontal loose system that allows for parking and picking position like Blackbox3D errors that E3D would simply crash the machines if it had it, or selling kits to modify existing printers like the Open Source Jubilee Tool Changer Kit or the 3D mential print yourslef manual tool changing Flipper, or the Automated Flipper or clones of the E3D like dhm-online toolchanger-motion-system kit you can buy ready made, well machined and compatible with many existing 3D printers etc...

Of course if you go DYI be it by buying ready made kits or by buying STL files to print your own, than you have the whole burden of the E3D initial haeadache, just with little or no support at all so... forums and other discussion to figure it out how to integrate the mechanics you have in the firmware... reliably.

But now something happens, after the wave of CoreXY printers from 2016 onwards getting better and better, culminating with Bambulab series copied by just about any other major player from Creality to Quidi and the rest, Prusa included, now a new wave is about to hit the market, the cheapper tool changers ever, ready made and ready to print out of the box... and it started with Prusa, that obviously went the E3D way, expensive, buggy... let the comunity help them out to make it work... and it worked... somehow.

After a short pause of... preparations, all of a sudden we have on kickstarter cheaper options, about half the price or less, getting ready to hit the market, like:

flooding with ads Facebook, Tik-Tock and Instagram, plus a wave of Youtube promotional videos by various influencers, maskerated as "unboxing" or "testing" or even "review", and the heavy players are not even in yet, except for Prusa.

Creality, Quidi, TronXY and the rest are still in devellopement, most probably for the software bugs that keep them up at nights... but they are due to come, 3 years from now a Tool Changer might cost you less than 1000 USD, have a printing volume around 400X400X400 MM or bigger (E3D was ... shy, 300X200X300, but ... bed temp 200C and hotend 500C... things that will go unmatched for the next 3 to 5 years by the heavy players).

So my reliable E3D toolchanger just become obsolete, but... stil reliable.

With life as concept not that easy, who on Earth brought life on Earth? Tough one, however there we are, there is life on Earth, somehow.

Life started simple, the most simple form of life known to us is unicellular beings, like Viruses, and whenever they infest a more evolved living being like an organism, the organism is in trouble, and either kills the viruses or it dies.

Than some of them Viruses evolve into multi-cellular beings, like Microbes.

Microbes are more sophisticated beings, capable of colonizing, not just invading and multiplying to their own destruction by death either by the defense system of the unwilling host or by the death of the unwilling host.

The Microbes find ways to be useful to hosts in many situations, they become a symbiotic parasite, they live by helping out an organism, thus the organism ends up protecting them as an asset.

But if they over multiply they end up like Viruses, in self obliteration one way or another.

And some micro beasts evolve into more complex forms of association, organisms, renouncing in part to their DNA uniqueness in order to incorporate and be incorporated into more complex DNA sequence of more complex organisms like plants and animals.

And the more complex an organism is, the more it can develop cognitive thinking, yes rats have cognitive thinking, pigs too, maybe some humans too, still in doubt about this human cognitive thinking for now.

And the more complex an organism is the more vulnerable to infestation with non complex organisms like Microbes or unicellular organisms like Viruses, yes the past is hunting you down, literally.

Languages and societies make no difference, take for instance English, a language born out of many infestations on a given territory secluded among waters, an island over and over again invaded by more and more cultures and languages from Celtic to Saxons to Vikings to, lately, Hindi and Urdu and African languages.

I have noticed now that absolutely everything you buy Must Have A.I. in it, you car, checked, your 3D printer, checked, your coffee maker, checked, heck, even your coffee must have A.I. in it or else...

I don't drink coffee, but I do drive cars, and I do conceive, build and use 3D printers, and I observed one thing in common to both sectors, and many others.

Ever since the advent of A.I. (in the toothpaste included) the number of incidents and malfunctions increased dramatically.

In car this translates in car crashes, A.I. generated but the human has to pay for that too, in 3D printers the range of dumb shit A.I. generates is amazing, from dumb useless models to meaningless slicing iterations that generate layer missing, print head crushing, printing session collapsing in mid print and many more.

My point is, if we get to trust this A.I. than we must be dumb, I mean really dumb.
