The painfull truth.

"Romania, Bugaria, Poland, Hungary, struggled for 30 years with reforms.

Ukraine succeeded in 24 hours.

Before Putin attacked, Ukraine was the most corrupt country in Europe, with a democracy index below Ecuador and Zimbabwe.

It was full of oligarchs and tick companies laundering billions in the West.

It had a fully bought parliament and a president unable to control his secret services, army or Nazi groups.

Zelensky was forced to integrate mafias and paramilitary groups so that he could stabilize the political life of Ukraine.

A country with no future, which had disintegrated into an ethnic and social storm of violent de-Russification and de-Romanization. Ukraine was an administrative nightmare in which ethnic hatred was encouraged by the state, the enslaved press, and the educational system.

A completely collapsed economy in which the government it exported wealth and imported armaments, where foreign companies exploited natural resources and Ukrainians imported their own energy.

Ethnicities were persecuted, their languages were removed from institutions, and children were ideologically mutilated in Western-funded ultranationalist camps.

In the desperate attempts to recapture Donbas, 30 thousand civilians died.v Almost 500 thousand took refuge internally. One million took international refuge, predominantly in Russia.

The Ukrainian military used cluster bombs, tear gas and punitive expeditions maiming locals for Moscow's insolence.

The OSCE and Amnesty International frequently reported war crimes, ethnic cleansing and torture by the Ukrainian military.

Russian officials paraded mass graves discovered and villages destroyed overnight on Russian television.

Opposition journalists were arrested and persecuted, the LGBT community could not go out on the streets without being surrounded by the police, and rights activists were attacked and disciplined.

Within 24 hours of the invasion, Ukraine became the symbol of democracy. Its president was becoming an international hero, the integrity leader we all dreamed of. He was suddenly becoming a real martyr on the catafalque of democracy.

The Ukrainian army was painted in all the media as the pure and brave force defending European values from the Soviet enemy. Extremism was normalized overnight, and the torture of ethnic groups became justified by the fact that Russians are Russians and fully deserve it.

All crimes were swept under the rug, Azov, S14, Centuria and Right Sector disappeared from all feeds, and corruption evaporated into nothingness. The administration in Kyiv no longer consisted of mobsters and racketeers who had survived by switching alliances from East to West. It was becoming the eclectic Instagram administration.

The heroine of the news feed - clean, patriotic and eager to defend her homeland as she had done before. All criminals and torturers were washed up in the Western press and became defenders of European values.

It seems that Vladimir Putin is the greatest reformer in history.

Not only did he manage to eliminate the pandemic, but he turned Ukraine overnight into a magical land, the standard of democracy we all would have liked to live in if the Russians hadn't invaded.

At least that's what I understood from all the media in the West.

Obviously, what I write here is only a form of Putinism that has appeared during these years in Freedom House, LA Times, Washington Post, The Economist, New York Times, Reuters, The Guardian, Vice, OSCE, UNICEF and Amnesty International.
