Languages, societies, and any other human construct is born out of some reason, than it evolves, than it revolves, than it involves unless it is resilient and holds fast to a status until it can evolve again.
Where have I seen such behavior gain? In Life...
Life, as concept, but also as individuals, is born out of something, with individuals the origin is easy to scout, ''parents''
With life as concept not that easy, who on Earth brought life on Earth? Tough one, however there we are, there is life on Earth, somehow.
Life started simple, the most simple form of life known to us is unicellular beings, like Viruses, and whenever they infest a more evolved living being like an organism, the organism is in trouble, and either kills the viruses or it dies.
Than some of them Viruses evolve into multi-cellular beings, like Microbes.
Microbes are more sophisticated beings, capable of colonizing, not just invading and multiplying to their own destruction by death either by the defense system of the unwilling host or by the death of the unwilling host.
The Microbes find ways to be useful to hosts in many situations, they become a symbiotic parasite, they live by helping out an organism, thus the organism ends up protecting them as an asset.
But if they over multiply they end up like Viruses, in self obliteration one way or another.
And some micro beasts evolve into more complex forms of association, organisms, renouncing in part to their DNA uniqueness in order to incorporate and be incorporated into more complex DNA sequence of more complex organisms like plants and animals.
And the more complex an organism is, the more it can develop cognitive thinking, yes rats have cognitive thinking, pigs too, maybe some humans too, still in doubt about this human cognitive thinking for now.
And the more complex an organism is the more vulnerable to infestation with non complex organisms like Microbes or unicellular organisms like Viruses, yes the past is hunting you down, literally.
Languages and societies make no difference, take for instance English, a language born out of many infestations on a given territory secluded among waters, an island over and over again invaded by more and more cultures and languages from Celtic to Saxons to Vikings to, lately, Hindi and Urdu and African languages.
In the times of the Roman invasion and occupation they were at the pre Viral stage, took them a few hundred years to be as a society and language at the ''Virus'' stage, than invaded the nearby organisms, the more evolved and cult nations and languages, corrupting, bribing and killing without measure all across the world, but more there where the autoimmune system was not prepared to defend themselves like Asia and the Americas.
The death tool was immense worldwide in the following several hundreds of years, but to keep controlling what they infected they had to evolve themselves ant a more Microbian stage, be of use, incorporate some habits, and so they did, and one of their born microbes is the USA, the other is UK, the other is the IMF and some private banking and corporate cartels.
They ended up also collaborating with former competition and enemy microbes with older maturing sequence than themselves like France, Russia or Spain wile undermining some societies that having reached the stage of organisms like Greece, China, Japan or Hindi to make a few examples of civilizations they strive to destroy and replace, well that is rather impossible to totally eliminate, but like any primitives they tried.
It ended up some of them ''organism societies'' went into resilience survival mode while other members of same society went into involution more, become more microbial themselves, more viral, now infesting the newly created primitive organisms under the NATO umbrella, the invasion of the ''rudimentary uncivilized'' waves from the former and actual colonies.
Because yes, the ''English language led'' block with their former enemies today allied in a NATO organism have a bit evolved to where China was 1000 years ago, as an example, a primitive organism, with still Microbial thinking, but that now has more to lose and has more to fight for, and more inferior unicellular beings to fear, some of them created by themselves like ISIS or Jihadists or Islamic Front or others, and now is an ''enemy in the house''. And their Microbial thinking makes them believe ''they master the world'' and everybody must bow to them.
They forgot about those in the more organized societies they destroyed over centuries that have chosen the resilience form of preservation thou, they are far ahead in thinking and capabilities, they do not create and send out viruses or microbes to fight the new organism, they have better means. They really use their thinking. Millennia of experience and cultures cannot be erased.
And whilst the Brits and French and Spanish at Microbial stage conquered the world, they did not conquered the knowledge associated with resilient clusters, later they sent a huge virus called Communism (on who's money you think Lenin bought all those weapons and printed all the propaganda?) to ruin the Russian organism, not yet out of the Microbial stage itself, than spread it to other ancient cultures like China and India, in some it had a major impact tan others, like China was totally destroyed by it, while India kind of made it still alive, while Japan was spared by their isolation until WWII when invaded by Fascism first (another form of same mutant virus as communism) and occupied by ''Democracy'' of NATO, in other words infected with a different microbial social infection.
Hence the resilient resistance in those viral obliterated societies not only embraced the virus DNA and made sense of it, but started to pump in it's own changes in the newly made DNA of their societies, infiltrating the utmost high structures of power and culture slowly slowly, to bring them back to life again as; stronger, less vulnerable organisms today, totally not relying on the koolaid of the NATO that keeps the other countries under their control. Yes China, Russia and some other countries have made a huge come back, like Syria will soon, ''virusing'' Syria did not work too well for NATO...
And this is just the beginning of a more sophisticated morphing, more sophisticated social engineering and more complex social DNA mutations we ever witnessed in the past 3000 years, when this; evolution, revolution, involution pattern; was a constant every some 300 to 400 years, now it moves up the scale to a new stage never reached before, resilience is taking over the new mutants and incorporating more social DNA from the ''today viruses and microbes'' like Israel, North Corea and other terrorist countries.
The next 300 years should be very interesting times, I mean it the Chinese way...
