Consumerism, briefly.

Our society consumes technology, but only when it becomes a fashion, that is; not when they need it, because if it's not a fashion they don't even know it exists and therefore they do not know they need it, for they don't know their own needs.

I personally invent technologies when I need it, hence my friends copy me and help themselves with it when they discover they have the same needs, but I fail to create a fashion for you need financial support for marketing and I... haven't got that kind of money.

So my friends know why, the rest of the world... are left behind.
